Scifeon began in 2016 in Copenhagen, founded by Thomas P. Boesen — a biochemist who had spent two decades across scientific research and informatics, including as a senior informatics manager at Novo Nordisk.
He had watched too many labs bend their workflows to fit inflexible systems, or fall back on a tangle of spreadsheets because the "real" software was too rigid to trust. The conviction was simple: lab software should mirror how scientists actually work — not force them to work like the software.
That idea became Scifeon: a modular, cloud-native platform where every field, form, and workflow is configurable, and where research and regulated environments live side by side. Today it runs in biotech, pharma, and academic labs across Europe — from GMP-validated FACS to fermentation and metagenomics.
